Non-photorealism, and CG

Laying out some groundwork on ‘what are you doing?’, this is a composition using the rough head model of Max’s character. ‘What are you doing?’ is an animated short I’m doing. It’s a story about a boy defining his existence in a world he doesn’t understand. At this point I’m quite interested in non-photorealism in computer animation. I think that performance, and character can supersede technical rendering prowess. Hopefully I can explore some of this throughout making this short.
